I would really hate for you to hold onto a bottle of good champagne and then open it to find that it was not all you dreamed it would be.

I have to second this. Years ago I bought a bottle of Vintage Dom Perignon. $300 duty free, numbered, sealed, all the rest.

I stored it in what was apparently "ideal" conditions.

The time came to crack it open (lol, when I left my ex as a celebration!)..... and it was SHOCKING.

Ended up mixing it with jim beam and butterscotch shnapps (some kind of ****tail we found).

So yeah, enjoy it now!!!
