Talking what to buy Mason for his 2nd bday?

    Hey guys,

we just bought Mason a cubby house for his bday but as we bought a 2nd hand one off ebay, it ended up going for MUCH less than our max bid.

BUT, now I need to buy him something else.

    Any ideas?

He certainly doesnt need any clothes or shoes. Thanks !

So you saved some money - I dont think that means you need to buy something else necessarily - what about something he needs like winter clothes or something with the extra/leftover $

Kids don't care how much you spend on them! I'm sure he'll love the cubby

How about some dress-ups? Playdough cutting set?

Are you throwing him a party? Don't forget he'll get HEAPS of toys if he has a party!!

We bought Harrison a drum kit for his 2nd birthday.
Harrison loves music and the drum kit was really cheap ($25 or so from Toys R Us)
He plays it every day and it is great. Not so great if you're not into toys that make loads of noise, but it could be fun outside too.

Maybe some furniture or a kitchen to go in the cubby house?

Zander got a tool box for his second birthday & still loves it now

a ride on car or motorbike- you can get them for around $50 and they are ace!
What about swimming lessons, or some other type of activity?
We got our twins a swing set for the 2nd birthday

    Happy birthday Mason!!!

I've been thinking about this 4 Noah.

We would like to get him a trainset with one of those tables you get for them to go on.

Some kids cooking stuff i.e apron, bowl, spoon, cookie cutters etc
swing set or outside play equip
another thing I'm going to make soon is get some cheap wood and Phil will get a jigsaw from work I'll draw on different shapes (big ones) like a car etc then cut them out, paint them with blackboard paint (u can buy small tins at spotlight for about $13) and attach them to the fence outside to play with
    Paints for finger painting etc

    Thumbs up

To anyone's child turning 2 i always suggest a 'Chalkboard board with a magnetic board on the otherside' ... my DD a year later still loves playing with her one

Usually chalkboards come with chalk but not the thick chalk sticks so also buy a tub of THICK chalk as it doesn't break like the thinner ones ... can get them at The Reject Shop or any cheapy shop under $2

Also / or a Playdough Table Set which comes with heaps of tubs of playdough, shape cutters, etc ... They are usually about $50 but sometimes on special at BigW for under $35
