Thanks!
My DD's nanny used to make this for her (in various different shades of food colouring) and I found that if I stored it in one of those gladware containers (the disposable ones, altho you can re-use them, clear bottoms, blue lids) it keeps for ages. (She made it exactly the way saslia has said).
Yep that is the way we all make it at my work (CCC) it's the fastest and best!
Yep, definitely keep it in a sealed container in the fridge for it to last longer and if you don't put too much food dye in it, it shouldn't come out onto your hands when you're playing with it.
i make the same as above!
Just keep it on the tiled areas! its hard to get out of the carpet once its been rubbed in..lol!
Thanks ladies,
OOooo MrsT, thankfully we have floorboards in the living areas. I will make sure it doesnt venture into the bedroomsLesson learned hey? lol
I made BRIGHT BLUE and the colour didnt seem to come out on the kitchen counter when I was kneading it (had a bit of a play myself hehe). I did need to add a few handfulls of extra flour to get the right feel. I guess it is totally safe to eat but she wont want to with all that salt! (mind you, today she was eating gravel!!!!! so who knows? )
will it start to go a bit funky or smelly eventually or just dry out? I guess it depends how much it gets used.
Sazz.
Some kids LOVE it, so don't be suprised if she does eat it!
