Do you have a recipe for home made playdough. I think my 13mth old would enjoy squishing it around in her hands.... she is still a bit young for the crayons although I have tried...
does it need to be stored in the frige? does the food colouring come out all over the kids?
Play dough - the easiest way ever…
Use your normal recipe:
1 cup Flour
2 teaspoons of Cream of Tartar
1/2 cup of Salt
1 tablespoon Oil
Food colouring
1 cup of BOILING water.
Put all dry ingredients in a bowl. Add food colouring and oil to boiling water. Then simply mix together, it may not form a big ball to start with but just keep bringing it together as it cools. Make sure it is cooled completely before your children start playing.
It takes all the hard stirring out of making play dough, as you do not require a stove to make it, and saves time and energy.
My DD's nanny used to make this for her (in various different shades of food colouring) and I found that if I stored it in one of those gladware containers (the disposable ones, altho you can re-use them, clear bottoms, blue lids) it keeps for ages. (She made it exactly the way saslia has said).
