    Low-temp glue gun

    Hi there
i am very new to do crafty things, and have just purchased a low-temp glue gun to stick some buttons onto cardboard. I'm finding though that it's very messy, leaving threads of glue everywhere on my page. Am i doing something wrong? I keep burning my fingers as well.
Also, i really want to get into scrapbooking, but just don'[t know where to start. Should i do a course first, or just try myself?
    thanks in advance everyone.

Threads of glue is normal, glue gun glue is very messy. There is a tape that you can buy that is a glue and leaves no mess and it is permanent as well. I can't remember the name of it though sorry. I would take a course on the scrapbooking personally, I have 4 scrapbooks and none of them have been started yet because I don't have a clue where to start and now I don't have the time to go to a class. I learn better watching someone than reading about how to do things so the magazines don't quite cut it for me. Good luck!

Not sure about the hot glue, mine always does the same thing as well, drives me bonkers.

As for scrapbooking, check out our scrapbooking thread, it's stickied at the top of this forum. The girls have some great tips.
