My home made prezzies....just have to share

    Hi All.

Yay I have figured out PhotoBucket thanks to you girls, never heard of it before here.

It is so exciting when new arrivals come into the family and I can't help but go GAGA and make things from my heart for the new bubba, even my own, but more so for others!!

For my Sister who just had my beautiful niece Sophia I made her a nappy cake for the first time and was so happy with how it turned out had to post the pics. I figured out after making it that I should have used bigger sized nappies so she could have it on display for a little while. So I did that we the next one.
She had a Baby shower but thought I would save the nappy cake for the hospital.

For my SIL2B I have also made a nappy cake with some extras as I don't think she has had a baby shower with this bub or her first. With my first nephew I also made him a Long Stitch in a 'Bears' Theme because my SIL2B did the whole nursery in the cutest Aqua and Teddy Bear Theme with a hand painted border (very clever).
For my coming soon nephew I couldn't get another 'Teddy' One and actually did get a girly one with a teddy bear and moon etc, guess I'll keep it for the next I ended up getting a cute Lion but it was small so thought I would make it up to him by stitching two. The other one is an Elephant one, so like a circus theme but I still did them in the colours of the nursery sort of.
That's why I got an Elephant toy for the nappy cake and Lion Blankie. Not to redecorate her cute room that she has done already, but just to add into it and match the new Long Stitches.

WHOA that was a long story....but I am so excited to see my new nephew soon that I had to post this with photos. (And Blow my own horn for a bit)

Let me know what you think.

Now I am just waiting for my nephew to be born so I can quickly Stitch in the date and meet the cutie pie!!

I thought a 'nappy cake' would be a cake shaped like a nappy! We live to learn. Nice work!

Thanks everyone...I have to update those pics with the final product and BIG doh here because I went ahead and did the middle name my SIL2B liked but they decided on the name my BIL2B liked?! DOH!! So I have to fix it for them.

It was fun to make...I recommend anyone try it.
