    In The Land Of Wonderful...

Leesa - I'm so sorry to hear about your mum Hoping you get lots of wonderful ideas to make this Christmas the most wonderful one ever

Sarah - I'm so impatient about shopping - but haven't done much, as we decided I wouldn't until we moved into our new house, just to save carrying things over & running the risk of people seeing things they shouldn't
We will definately be in 100% by next Saturday (a little over a week)... and then it begins
I have been scouring catalogues/prices though so its all a plan in my head.... just need to put it into action soon

To go along with the stick tree decoration DH made me last year, he's making me something new I saw in a shop a few weeks ago - a display hanging from the roof!
He's half done.... but isn't going to finish it until we move now... will post some pics when I have the completed project

    sounds nice holly!

Leesa - sorry to hear about your mum - make this Christmas a celebration and embrace the fact that you are together - don't grieve for what may not be next year. Enjoy the day. there will be time to grieve when the time comes - for now, embrace every day and make it memorable for the right reasons. hugs

Sarah - we have most of E's present (clothes) - still want to get her a clam for kicking around in when it's warm. will get that just before Christmas. have to buy for two of my bro's kids - nephew is getting a skateboarding helmet when his dad tells us which one to get - the 9 year old girl - i'm stumped! DH has already been given his present (fleetwood mac tix) - but i'll get him something small for under the tree. i'm waiting for him to ask what i want - i have NFI lol. i did tell him the tix were for christmas and his birthday (turns 45 next year, the old fart) - i'm happy to wait and get something combined for mine (i turn 30 gulp) when we're a little better off financially. as long as E has something, i'm happy!

E is giving everyone photo magnets for their fridges lol cheap, and easy to organise

Leesa I am sorry to hear about your mum! Might I suggest a really special present for her? Kikki K have a book with "Mother" on the cover and it is printed with pages for you to write stuff aboutyour mum and include phots as well. Things like "I didn't know then but do know...", "Favourites from your kitchen" and "My fondest memory of you is...". I did up a book like that for my mum for her birthday this year and she burst into tears, not knowing I felt that way about her. The book is about $20 from memory but it is a really priceless gift that is very personal.

On the present front I am doing really well - everyone else's kids are done but mine LOL! Mum wants a pepper grinder (easy!) and we are doing a KK for the "adult children" in DH's family, so I am impatient to find out who I "get". Ollie and Flynn will get usmmer PJs - they are running around in midriff tops at the moment - but as for pressies it is a hard one. Flynn wants a plane from santa and Ollie is too young to know what is going on but I still want to make a fuss. But I don't want to buy expensive plastic, which seems to make up most kids toys!

how is eveyrone going? we started unpacking Christmas stuff on Saturday - and now have at least two benches ready to go with decos. the table is covered in stuff, and there is still more to unpack - another ummmmmm 2 150L tubs at least - plus the tree and train! oops!

it's looking awesome - been a bit creative and made levels on top of the bench so that different things show up and don't get lost

DD has only been able to get her hands on one thing (norty daddy gave it to her and let her chew it grrrrr) - but she is fascinated cos it plays music!
