no worries tarts probably wont work for gifts but man they are yummy!!!!!!
my fridge is full of rum balls, rocky road and xmas balls ATM!!! and I wont let DH and DS1 eat any till week before xmas
oh those trees sound great for the kids to make for pressies.
Really Really easy (and super yummy)
Crush candy canes up and place on a tray. Pour melted white chocolate over and allow to set.
Break into pieces. Yummmmmmmmmo
mini Christmas puddings
just get the cheap square dark Christmas cake (either the coles or safeway cheap brand one). And crumble it up and at about 20mls(may have to adjust just depends) of any alcohol or OJ if you want alcohol free and mix into cake crumble until you can roll them into little balls(like rum ball size).
then melt white chocolate and cover just the top with it and decorate with cut up tiny bits of red and green lolly snakes to make the leaves and the red berry things. and then put in the fridge easy peasy!
with the rocky road chrissy trees, i make these aswell.
if you want to make mini ones, use waffle cones then just break the cone off once set any cone left on is ok as it adds decorations..
i also use those shiny silver balls to decorate it and use freckles to make teh star for teh top join 2 together on top of teh tree..
hmmm think i need to start making mine again, they dont last long lol..
There is already a very large thread for Christmas treats in the recipes forum. I will close this one now & you can continue chatting in there.
