Last year I painted a bunch of hard-boiled eggs for DD to do the hunt and just gave her a lindt dark choc bunny. She didn't like it so DH got it lol.

This year I am thinking the same hunt-wise and tehn maybe a smartie egg as she loves smarties...

From Spotlight I bought an Easter Banner craft project for $2.50 which we'll work on over the next couple of weeks, one letter a day. We also do coloured hard-boiled eggs in a basket on the table and if can be bothered, I'll do an easter egg tree with egg shells. Easter morning is boiled eggs, I like to get him a chocolate bilby and an elegant rabbit (although can't find them this year?) and an egg-cup with egg-warmer. I did do an easter-egg hunt with paw prints last year which he loved, and "egg droppings" of the hard eggs. It's his birthday on the Easter Tuesday this year, which is a bit of a bummer.

We have a hunt, so we have two different patterned eggs so there's no fighting - they find what they can and the "Easter Bunny" makes them magically and evenly appear in the right bags.
They get a couple of the over commercialised egg packages cos I love them (this year they are getting metal lunch tins because they both love hoarding treasures, mugs with an egg, so they have their own tea cups) and then a couple of small pressies and a book.
DH and I spend $10 on each other.

Ooooh I forgot we always give a bilby too! And the Egg cup is always a winner
