How much are Christmas stamps supposed to be?

How much are christmas stamps supposed to be this year?

Because I've got a whole stash of old ones (45c)...shoulda used them last year when the posties were on strike!!!

Can I get away with posting these or do I need to go out and buy a whole heap of 5c/10c stamps?

50c... They are 5c cheaper than regular everyday stamps.

I reckon I would post them and you wouldn't have a problem.

Got one in my hot little hands now and it is definitely 55c - sorry to contradict you LimeSlice I'm pretty sure the price of regular stamps went up to 60c about 3 months or so ago.
You could try and send the 45c ones, but I'd think with 10c the diff you may find them returned to any return address or the recipient could be stung for the additional cost (that used to happen once upon a time, not sure if the PO will still do that though).

Yes Xmas stamps are 5 cents cheaper but local stamps are now 60 cents (not 55c).
Meaning, Xmas stamps are 55 cents (only for use during Nov and Dec).

Guess I better replace all my stamps!! Bugger, that is a PITA.

    60c for a letter? Sheesh...

By all means Andie, always happy to be contradicted, shame it means I have to turf all my stamps!

you don't have to turf them. AP sell 5 and 10c stamps so you just use 2 stamps to make the total.

I've used a bunch of old stamps on parcels before, and if I'm short then bought a stamp to make up the difference of what is needed to post that sized parcel.

I sent a heap out last week with last years 50 cent stamps and the recipients got them. I also forgot to put a stamp on a letter once and it still got delivered to the recipient.

Oooh don't turf, buy either 10c or 5c stamps to make up the correct amount
