why not give them their own card from your DD? they're not super exxy, and you can then write a simple but meaningful message about your DD and being happy to share her first Christmas with them
as she gets older, she can then start drawing in her own little card each year...
this is what we will be doing for DD

I guess you could write mum and dad and then at the bottom write from x & y and your grand daughter z?
