A continuous photo album is a great idea, giving a page each Christmas & Mothers Day
Surprise! Nelle, you should have just asked!

Teehee, Nelle. As long as your Mum doesn't mind the lack of actual 'surprise' on Xmas and Mothers' Day!

I got my mum and Dh a photo book each with pics from our holiday we all went on this year.. plus a clock for mum wall

MIL.. I am thinking of a small frame with pics I am taking on the 30th Dec.. She knows about the pics (family shots) but then I thought if I got her a fram for Xmas then she would have pics to go in it..

A gift voucher is also a good idea..

Even a CD or a DVD perhaps.. If they watch movies that is

Maybe an MP3 player for the car.. We finally got the inlaws onto them this year and they love it...

What about a personalised pillowcase.. or Kmart had some gorgeous ones.. I got 2 for myself.. one says Sweet and dreams.. and the other says The and a pic of a key and then on the other it has to my and a pic of a heart..

*giggle* I should share the story a bit - one Mother's Day I bought my mum and MIL a scrapbook each and did a few pages, saying that each Mother's Day and Christmas I would add a new page for them.............................................. .....

Awesome ideas though guys! I am considering considering.....(keep em coming)

That's funny, Nelle. Maybe a voucher to a scrapbooking course for Mum with a CD of photos of the family.

I made up a photobook of DS's first few months for my mum plus one for the in laws. I used album works & they were abit exxy but I can't wait to see it.
Will be ordering one for myself after xmas but adding in all my belly shots as well as a few pics I didn't want anyone else to see (like the ones right after he was born!!).
