Shop suggestions

Hey, I just had an idea of a last minute gift for DH. Being tight on time I thought I would ask here before I go on the hunt.

DH starts a new job in January. He is a librarian. He needs a new work bag. Not a brief case but a tote/messenger bag style I think would suit him.

So last minute suggestions on where to head to find a reasonably priced man bag? A fairly common shop (so I can find one), obviously not online.

I only have Big W & strandbags local to me but if someone knows of something in one of the other chain type stores I could head a little further to pick up.

hmmm Myers is a bit out of the way sadly. I have Target big w maybe kmart and the speciality sort of shops you find around those stores.

What about a surf shop, they quite often do some nice ones.

You could look online, and give him the option of 3 for christmas? That way you'd just have to "collect" it?

Crumpler make awesome messenger bags that would be perfect. They have their own stores around the place, but I believe you can also get them at Myer.

I can second the Billabong leather satchel - I got DH one for about $60 and he loves it. The logo is pretty small too!

Big W have a wide range of gift vouchers you can buy for different places.. or even a coles myer voucher, if you cant find one in time.. then he can go choose one himself.

Selkie Smith Designs is online (like facebook and online shop) and she lives just near(ish) you. I know Mel, and I reckon if you rang her she'd be happy for you to pickup.

Can't really do a gift voucher, DH isn't really that sort of person. He would prefer an actual gift. Not a card KWIM?
Selkie Smith Designs is a bit too girly I think & while I am blue mountains Im not Katoomba side. So it would be too far out of my way.
GAH bloody men! Off to the shops today to have a look at what is around. I may just abandon the idea if I can't find something today while Im out..

Found one, the exact same one he has LOL. I found the billabong one but its not big enough, it only has the one bit in it & I didn't ereally like the look of it. But plain & looks like it would scratch up easy.
So went into Big W & found the same one he has (slightly different style but basically the same thing).
So I bought that & then checked strandbags who had some nice ones but again not enough compartments or full leather (that one was nice but it would get ruined in Cairns, too humid)

So yeah I got one but its the same as he has already LOL
