I dont think I have celebrated NYE in about 4 or 5 years and this year I am going to! My prob has always been I think about it to late and by then I just cant be bothered organising something so I am preparing early!
What I really want to know is how people with children have celebrated NYE?
ie. Party at your house or a friends house, fireworks, out to dinner somewhere, etc?
If you went to a house party or had a house party what made it memorable?
What worked? What didn't?
Just feel free to share anything...even your plans for this year!
Since all our circle has kids now it's always a BBQ at someone's house. But years ago when we'd only started having kids we would always go up to Lake Cargelligo water skiing for a few days, we'd rent a cabin at the caravan park and put the kids to bed early and have a BBQ and drinks.
We have it at home and a few years ago we had a dress up theme - letter P!!! This year we will be home as well, too hard with kids to do much of anything else and that way nobody has to drive and kids are in bed!!
We usually head to a friends who live around 15 mins away, they're on the waterfront so we get to see all the gorgeous fireworks across the bay. There is plenty of beds for the kids and us should we decide to stay.
We can see the fireworks from our front door, and our baby will be very tiny, so I think we might just sit on our outdoor couch and watch them and have some newborn snuggles together.
well this year im very excited about the hole thing as its our first with baby charlie not that she will last the night but knowing me ill count down till new years get all teary like i always do lol.so i rekon just a bbq that afternoon with some drinkkies of course and let the kids have some sparklers ans party food.
