Yeah, Himeji castle is mid restoration (we found out the hard way by just turning up) however, if you have time, it still is actually worth a visit. The beautiful old gates, rabbit warren pathways and old buildings. I loved it. Of course it would have been AMAZING without the scaffolding, but I surprisingly had a great day there.
