    Affordable accommodation, Melbourne ladies please

    HI

Could anyone recommend me affordable accommodation, as in pretty cheap but not back packers, clean, decent bed doesn't need too many bells and whistles though, doesn't have to be in the city, but within reach by public transport in the Melbourne area.
    TIA

If you're after something reasonably priced, look at The Great Southern Hotel. It's on Spencer St, just opposite Southern Cross Station. It's pretty basic but worth the $. I 2nd Punt Hill Apartments if you are after something self contained.

I love the Atlantis, it's on spencer street just up from southern cross. I think the average cost is $120 but they often have specials & I've stayed there for $99. Comfy, quiet, clean with gym, pool & sauna (?)
