Camping MUST HAVES when taking an 18 month old??

First time we took DD camping, she was just over 18 months. It rained heavily all weekend, but she really wasn't interested in her toys. We found the only things she touched was a etcha sketch and a few books, other than that she was content to play with her cousin or play in the mud!

I agree, you don't need many toys. We just went away over Easter and my DD (who is 20 months) only really rode on her little bike and carried her favourite doll around. One morning it was raining so she was happy to draw with crayons and watch DVD's on our laptop.

One thing I highly recommend to bring is a tub to bath her in if the place you are staying at doesn't have baby facilities. We just use a plastic storage tub, it works great
