    we're in the process of getting one of those medical braclets for WIlhelm with his 'special need' on it and our phone numbers.... might have to get one for all the kids now with just the phone number on it...people will defently look at it if they think your child has a sickness ect and its sort of private to

    you can also get tatoo's that you can put on their arm, face...where ever I guess. You should be able to find them if you google it. Otherwise I have seen bands at our Woolworths in the baby section.

    We stuck a peice of masking tape on Claires back and wrote on it with permanent texta: 'if you find me, please call #######". The wrist bands sound good though.

    I came back from my trip, thanks to everyone for all the lovely ideas, not just in this thread but in any other travel related thread that I would have posted in. The kids had a wonderful time, the best ID tag I found was the luggage tags, I stringed ribbon through it and hung it around their necks It was lucky that the reverse side of the tags had the aussie flag too as an added bonus
