    It's best to ring the airline for clarification. Get the name of the person you spoke to and make a note of it and the date.

    I actually interpret it as no baggage allowance in Australia. So all you can carry is carry-on for yourself and maybe 3 baby items. If you are flying OS you can carry on 10kg for yourself plus your baby items.

    I've been known to pack a bit of my own stuff into the carry bag for our hammock

    depending on the airline.....

    on domestic flights in OZ, with Virgin you can take up to 10kg of baby items (pram/porta cot/car seat etc) per adult travelling with a baby that has paid to check in luggage
    jetstar we could take 2 baby items as long as we had paid to check in bags

    international with them both is the saem, im not sure on qantas

    It's qantas. We really only have to take the pram...pity they won't allow a bag... Would have thought that would take less space.

    I'm sure you can take bags as per the adult baggage allowance, just not an extra bag for the infant. They usually allow 2 pieces of carry on for people with infants too.
