Generally speaking all of the main European cities should be the same fare price, however the taxes will vary. Rome is the cheapest taxes of anywhere in Europe which is why it is always cheapest to fly in there, London is always the most expensive. Hwever $500 does seem a bit extreme, do you mind me asking which airline it is with?
