You can do an elephant sanctuary day where you get to look after the elephants and wash them and groom them etc.
There is also the theme parks in KL too.
Langkawi I plan on going back to once dd is older because the resort we stayed at had an amazing lagoon pool with water slide and a kids club. Plus it was super relaxing for adults.
We did Hong Kong just before Christmas 2011 and Singapore in September 2010. Both were great, but very different holidays.
Singapore we stayed on Sentosa Island. I can't remember the name of the hotel - started with "F" I think - but it had family rooms with bed areas for the kids which were great - it was brand new when we went and part of the casino complex area. There are a couple of stand alone hotels on Sentosa that might be worth investigating though. Huge plus for Singapore is that it is exceptionally clean, easy as to get around on public transport and as you say, tons to do with the kids. We combined a stay on Sentosa with a week at Club Med on Bintan Island, which is part of Indonesia but you get to it by fast ferry from Singapore. Totally geared towards families so the kids had a ball, ergo we did too. Down side is that Singapore is exxy - food, stuff to do etc
Hong Kong was also fantastic and a heap to do with the kids - Disneyland, Oceanpark, teddy bear factory, cable car and other stuff I just can't remember at the moment. Again, very easy to get around on public transport, cheaper for food and activities than Singapore and a kazillion choices for hotels. Down side is that it is seriously filthy and busy, but I quite liked the feel of it and always felt safe.
