We stayed in a holiday house on Bribie Island.
It was relaxing, but we got bored... We didn't have much money to do much either.
Tell you what I know a gorgeous coastal town perfect for a honeymoon!
    Well I think so anyway
Right here...beautiful beaches, gorgeous holiday houses!

We didn't have a honeymoon as we both couldn't get the time off work

We had planned to go to Wilson Island. We will get there one of these days!

Wow I can't believe all of you lucky ducks who got to go overseas! Makes mine sound boring now...

We did a big road trip too!
Started off at the snow in Mt Hotham (was July), then accross to the east coast, Newcastle, Coffs Harbour, spent a week on the Gold Coast, couple of days in Brisbane and then dumped the car at Brisbane airport and flew up to Townsville just becuase we could!
Came back, got the car and started the slow journey home.
We had such a fantastic time!

DH and I went to Adelaide. We're from Tassie, and we were on a budget. Neither of us had ever been, and we took a wine tour through Barossa Valley (with a bus full of old people, lol). It was simple, but we had a great time .

We went to Vietnam.....wanted to use the opportunity to go somewhere o/s that we prob wouldn't get around to doing otherwise. As we were saving like crazy for the wedding we just saved extra & it was actually not that exp 5yrs ago. Was a great trip, we went on a tour for almost 2weeks with a group, then we stayed 3days at a resort on our own. Was great for us, I didn't see the point in going somewhere & doing nothing...I would have got bored, we got to learn & see heaps.

We spent 3 weeks in Tasmania, got on the ship in Melbourne right after our wedding.
We drove around via Devonport - Stanley - Launceston - Ross - Port Arthur - Hobart - Strahan - Devonport.
We only organised it so far as the accomodation & stayed in some gorgeous places. We did some amazing things & had such a fabulous time. I spent as much time researching Tasmania as I did on the wedding!! We hate sitting around on holidays & were busy everyday.
I love looking at the photos - all 1000 of them!! We look so happy & excited in every single one.

    Thumbs up

*** CheezelMonster *** ... a few friends of mine have had their honeymoons in Tassie & loved it too (including DP folks) ... (i myself have been their on a holiday years ago) and i truely don't think people realise how romantic & pretty it is there to consider a honeymoon there

I remember my ex-DF & i got a package deal through the travel agent & we flew there from Melb, drove a hired car entirely around Tassie in 6 days, staying a different place each night (except 2 nights in Hobart) ... and how romantic is Cradle Mountain (so worth the extra$$ for the cabin & fire). Nearly every lunch & dinner we had at beautiful old English looking tudor pubs sitting near the open fire with such yummy home cooked like meals (we went in May so was cold but not freezing ... sunshine each day)

We went to Singapore for 2 days, Langkawi for 7 days, Sabah for 5 days and Hong Kong for 2 days. Loved it! Langkawi is just gorgeous.

(my DH works for an airline so flights weren't expensive and we got to move around more. Also got business class seats on the long flights! just heaven)

We did pretty much the same thing! Although we flew over and hired a car. I just organised accommodation (I based half our honeymoon in Launceston and the other half in Hobart)and we drove where we wanted, when we wanted and did what we wanted. I loved it!!! I cant wait to go back again one day!

We had 8 days in Samoa (Sinalei Resort for 5 nights & Tanu Beach Fales for 2 nights) and 4 days in Fiji (Matamanoa Island) on the way home. Was lovely and relaxing, especially Samoa - it's not too commercial there at all.

We actually went down and did a tour of South West WA (live in Perth). Stayed in such a lovely chalet just outside of Pemberton, went round all the Wineries around Pemberton and then Margaret River. It was the best time ever, the chalet was so quiet with a lovely outdoor spa. We now try to go down and stay there once a year - just the best.
