We stay in Cotton Tree, same area as Maroochydore/Mooloolaba, but a lot cheaper! There are some nice little shops in the area and Sunday markets, and it's not crazy with tourists like Mooloolaba.

That place looks perfect!My inlaws have a place at Noosaville - Noos@ Village River Res0rt. We stay for free, but always have a great time.

A bit further out is a place called Forrest Glen. We stayed at the Big4 caravan park and really enjoyed it. There is a swimming pool and lots of forest for walks. You are not far from some of the attractions and not less than an hour from Maroochydore.
We have also stayed at the caravan park in Maroochydore which is opposite the beach and it also has a pool
