I don't know where you are located Leash, but call a pool shop, I'm pretty sure that Neptunes are open today and they deal with all that stuff too or can give you the number of someone who does.

Called Neptunes but spoke to a chick that sounded like I just woke her up and she just said she has no idea and gave me the number of someone else. I'll try again on Wednesday I guess.

Worked out what the second cord was... the electrical cord to the submersible pump. Wonderful. Lucky she didn't kill herself.
