Sides of meat we cut up
How much is it per kilo for sides of lamb/beef?

Is it cheaper than local butchers?

I'm really interested too because meat for the 7 of us costs a fortune!

Not sure how much a kilo but we got about 20 steaks thickly cut that were about $3 each so that's pretty good! Pork loins were $17 a side and got 8 pieces out of it. There lamb racks and cutlets are $29 a kilo so $10 cheaper.

Do you realize you have to pay just to go in?

    Yes, sorry, I wasn't clear.

It's just that sometimes people go wanting to check it out before they pay for membership but they have to pay before they go in.

You can go with someone who has a membership to see what it's like, you just have to pay cash.

    • Fresh Fish, I bought a whole Trout, filleted and skin off for on $20, it cut up into 5 generous pieces.

I have also bought the kids clothes and shoes there as well. They also sell Calvin Klein mens underwear. It's branded items other than the Kirkland items which I think is a Costco brand. Not much of that around though.

I purchased our bar stools from there and also got DS1 a gel coloured pen set bigger and cheaper than the one you get at Smiggle.

It's worth going in with a friend if you can the first time, just take cash with you. Membership is $60 and I pretty much get that back in my first shop.

ETA: Make sure you have an empty boot when you go. And FYI, the specials and coupons that get emailed to you, you don't have to take with you. If you purchase that item, the discount is automatically credited for Costco members.
