IOh my god, thay cannot do that.
It calls for unfair dismissal.
I would be taking further action.
Was he on a contract or anything?????

sneaky though, he wasn't fired, he was demoted, i told him to quit cause they're not worth the stress. the poor bugger, he gets the worst migraines because of that job, and for nothing in return, the pay is insulting, holidays are a joke and the managers are morons. so, the end result is that he quit, which means we can't dispute anything...
After 6 years working for them, your DP deserves a lot better treatment than that. It seems like they have got around their obligations with regard to dismissal because they haven't technically fired him - they have just changed his position. What a joke!
i'll be cancelling all my policies with them, the state manager made dp write down the number of times a fellow employee went to the toilet everyday whilst she was pregnant, he did, but told them that she still got all her work done - and they still fired her. god forbid they might have to pay for maternity leave. the way the treat their employees is disgusting.
My goodness that is disgusting! I dont have racq and I'm glad now!
That sux! Some employers are just absolutely useless. If he has an exit interview with HR before he finishes up, that's his chance to lay it all out for them.
That is awful. How can you be sacked for being sick? That is unfair dismissal. I would be taking it further.
