I have another question, how broken does the thing need to be? Our fridge is really old and the seal is ruined, would that qualify? And to replace, does it need to be really close to the original? Like could we get a bigger fridge?

It's through the Department of Human Services and it's called the Home Wise Grant Scheme ph. 1800658521.
Kaytee I'm really not sure but you can just call them and they would be able to tell you.
Marydean you have no idea how much I am going to enjoy my first shower after boiling pots of water and using the kettle to quarter fill the bath tub. I will be in heaven.

    Regards,
    Dianne

Plumber is installing our new hot water service Monday morning. You really have to chase up DHS yourself though, I was told I would receive a letter this week, never did, so rang again today to be told that I can call the plumber that gave us the original quote. Rang the plumber this morning and the receptionist said she hasn't got any paperwork from DHS so she would ring them and call me back. Just got the call back, and she apologized to me because we would have to wait two days, I said two days is fine we've been without hot water for nearly 8wks, she was shocked. So only 3 more sleeps till I have the best shower in the whole wide world

    Regards,
    Dianne

Trust me I've been there and done that, it sure teaches you about which of the luxuries we totally take for granted. Dianne I will think about you standing under that gorgeous hot shower tonight!
