My father's been known to jokingly call their house different versions of "such and such on Greenore" for a laugh.

There's a small place where they call all their homes, starting with a prefix like "Do" ? I can't remember.

I've never really thought of naming my house, though I have always wanted "Valkyrie" as my numberplate on my car if I ever splashed out for personalised ones. So I quite like Valhalla, but I'd be inclined to save it for the dream property to be honest. Penratta by itself is an interesting name as well.

Growing up on farming properties, they're often referred to by various names - when I was young the main farm where the house was was called "Whyalla", we also now have "Beers" (people we bought it from were named Beer) and "Dalmoor" (which is on the Dalwallinu/Moora border). Never found out where Whyalla came from other than it's a place in South Australia, but that didn't explain a farm in WA being called that.
