How much strata do you pay??

We live in a two bed two bath unit. No lifts/gym or other extras like that. Just a basic 3rd storey, 2bd, 2 bth unit. It gets 'cleaned' once a week (if you can call it that!), gardens done regularly (not sure how often, but the gardens aren't extravagant nor very well kept). Can't think of anything else to add...

Our strata fees have gone up for the 4th year in a row. $100 per quater this time. So that makes it $460 per quater now. Absolutely ridiculous if you ask me.

So what do you pay and what do you get for it??

    WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG!!!!!!!!! I can understand that you have brought in a different area, yada yada, but that much different???????? Arrrrggghhh. It's not like we live in a top suburb of Sydney...it's actually not a very nice suburb at all! (In my opinion...) and it's a good 45min-1hr drive from actual Sydney.

It doesn't help that I am not liking where we are living at all either. The area is sh***y, I am sooo sick of three flights of stairs. Nothing is easy to do, even just going to the car is a struggle! And grocery shopping, don't even get me started!! This place sucks and I hate it. I can't wait for the day we can afford to move.

Kellie goes off to look at my dream houses on realestate sites....I want a house *grumble grumble*

LOL, thanks Mel, but no. Couldn't do Tassie....waaaayyyyyy too cold for me! But I'm not sure where we will end up living.....Sydney is a bit too pricey these days! Especially for a place in a nice suburb. And for what I want in a house!
