It should estimate the low income tax offset in etax. I just did mine and it says that it is $1350. When I click on Tax Estimate, right down the bottom of that page it says Tax offsets used (tax offset available 1,350) and you can click on it for more details. HTH

So if DF worked more this year than last and therefore got taxed more, we have claimed more- shouldn't we get more back?? He is still under the low income threshold of $37,000 so I'm confused why the estimate is showing almost $800 less than last year???

I sort of worked it out. Ended up thinking that of course because DF has worked more he will have to pay a bit more tax. Still didn't get the return estimate I would like but I submitted them anyway. Any return is a good return hey!
