Nail Polish on carpet of rental! HELP!

DS just threw my nail polish and it smashed on the tiles spilling onto the carpet!!!

Does anyone know how to get nail polish out of carpet???

small amount of acetone free nail polish diluted with vinegar adn water worked for me about 6 months ago. just rubbed it in and patted dry with dry cloth
was on light carpet so wasnt any colour to remove, id maybe spot test if its darker carpet.

Thanks Kellz. I had tried vingear and nail polish but it didnt do much. Tried windex and it came straight out! Thank god! DF would not have been impressed when he got home from work!

Happened to me.. red on cream carpet!!

Go the the hardware store and get pure acetone.

you need lots of cotton wool and keep dabbing with clean cottonwool or you will restain the carpet.

It the shagpile is high - you should be a fine metal comb to keep the area you are working on off the rest..
