The big clear plastic tubs are only about $10-$15 each from Reject Shop/Red Dot/Your Local Cheap Arse Discount Store lol
Maybe do a couple at a time if you can't afford heaps of tubs, that way you will appease DH by getting rid of them as quickly as possible, and you will have peace of mind.
Perhaps chuck a couple of cedar balls in them just in case to deter the moths/silverfish.
DH knows I will never get rid of my books, he has learned to live with it now
Worst part is we can't even spare $10 at the moment, am risking it for now, have just put some in the roof wrapped in plastic bags and thrown HEAPS of rat kill stuff around them, will keep an eye on the though and check for any bite marks, they are pretty well sealed.... then when we actually get some $$ i can get some tubs, will make them easier to find and move if we ever need to.
Be careful with the pellets and your dogs...if a mouse eats the pellet and then dies outside and one of your dogs picks it up, it won't be nice. I know a whole lot of "maybe" there, but it's a story I've heard before resulting in a lifetime of vet visits and costly medication.
