Stupid Phone company!!

Thats bull.. your already paying to have a private number!! yeah shop around and see whats out there, we were with them a while ago, they arent with in our exchange now where we live, i cant remember if we have probs with them.

if it is prank calls or some one asking for others there isnt alot you can do(except use caller id)
prankers can dial any number and get the right combination and it you they have called, all phone companies recycle numbers.. so if your number was someone elses then you will get their calls

This is why we want the caller ID but i refuse to pay an extra $6 a month for the privledge when there are other companies that give it out for free. I don't mind the occasional phone call for someone else because I know they recycle the number...we've had the same one for 3 years and still get AT LEAST 2 calls a day for someone else!

The only exception would be if you've given out your phone number to a marketing company.

If you are on the do not call register it is valid for 3 years. If they call you ask them where they are from and then tell them you are on the do not call register. It is against the law for them to contact you if you are on the register.
