just wanted to say that i went to the spring vale store today and i was super impressed! so much better than richmond, i'll never go to richmond again.
so much more parking, i parked right at the door and even managed to buy a trofast shelving unit and all the boxes to go with it on my own with my 2 kids!!! didn't wait long at the register and overall was a good shopping experience.

the best part was i even managed to buy 6 new wine glasses with 2 little boys with me. i felt like super woman.

I went to the Homebush (Sydney) store in Friday and had a mostly great time! The best part, got a kids kitchen for HALF PRICE because the little red light is missing! The worst part, not a single gluten free item available in the restaurant Also bought some kids poang chairs, a step stool and a side table (plus assorted awesome bits n pieces like bag clips )

Just a question, do some stores not allow you to walk to your car? What a silly policy! How do you shop?

You have to carry the stuff! argh so annoying...

But, if you have big stuff you drive your car to the *pick-up* area.

Thankfully I never go by myself! So someone can always stand near the items we buy while I go get the car!

I LOVE Ikea, but the Richmond store seriously needs to rethink that idea!

That's so bizarre I'm sure lots of people shop on their own?

We took a furniture loaded trolley plus a regular trolley into the mall that ikea is attached to, to the food court, into the parents room and then to the car lol

Hence the reason we won't be going to the Richmond one anymore!

The Springvale store is the best. They even have porters. If you have really heavy stuff, after checkout, you go to the customer service bit and a porter comes and helps load it in your car. You have to move the car to the loading bay but they have heaps of them. Just park near the exit, because the walk is long.
