$80 a month.
so $40 for a bottle of vodka for me and $40 for a bottle of burbon for DH. sometimes a little more depending on whats on speical/two for XYZ price. and it lasts 3ish four weeks depending on whats happening that month. like if we have a gathering for the CFA then it tends to go quicker. plus we buy a slab for the fridge so if we have people pop around we have something to offer them!
Alcohol at work.... now that's a completely different story. Barristers are very well known for how much we like our good quality grog. I don't want to think about it.
I buy in bulk when there are deals on. So last month, nothing, but we still had wine in. This month, about £50 - but nothing more until Christmas (another £50). Then we'll probably go until Feb/March.
So I suppose it would add up to about £20 a month. When I'm working it will easily double though, probably triple. Must keep an eye on that!
Don't budget for it but we generally have drinks in house. I have wine or cruisers, DH cruisers, wine, beer or cider just varys. No always a variety in house just depends.
No budget here either but we both enjoy a drink, as do most of our friends and family, so we just buy it when we feel like it
We do spend $175 each quarter for a case of wine from Wine Selectors. We probably buy another 12 bottles (or more!) on top of that
DH drinks beer as well but only maybe 6-10 beers a week, if that, so a carton lasts a while these days. He prefers red wine now as he believes it's helping with his 'health kick'
We don't drink spirits often at all but if we do, it's generally Canadian Club with dry. A bottle of CC easily lasts us a year.
Not budgeted at all. We buy it as needed. Could be if we feel like it but generally it's if there's a gathering or social situation that requires alcohol. Having said that we have a hefty stash so it's usually only the occasional spirit or wine/champagne.
We don't budget for it, and it's not really in the house. We can pretty much offer you water or milk if you come over here in terms of cold bevvies We buy as needed. This year, I think we've spent maybe $20 on alcohol? But DH does have a thing where he just doesn't really drink when I'm pregnant. So he's probably had a couple of nice beers this year while our at dinner. Pre-kids it still wasn't budgeted, we'd just buy what we wanted. Depending on the time of year, that would mean no alcohol or a couple of bottles of spirits in the house (usually around a birthday or Xmas). But we don't really drink on a regular night at home, I just don't think we're big drinkers at all (I was though, before I met DH my weekly spend was probably about $100).
