Put a note on the door - do not knock/ring before X time.

If you're lucky, a trader will turn up at the end of the day and take away all the stuff you didn't manage to sell and were wondering how you were going to move them out of the house

Keep an eye on the float - have someone man it at all times. Make sure there's nothing there you don't want to sell.

Sell the bigger stuff on ebay.
