We have no storage!

DH doesn't tidy up properly and I can't find all my notes and the cupboards in the kitchen are a mess.

It's about 300km too far south, it needs transplanting northwards.

DUST!! I live on the corner of a dirt road so every single car going into my street drives past my house flicking dirt everywhere. I have to dust every day!

We as a few days ago have a furry border in our roof ... yep, a darn possum DP forgot to mention he noticed one of the wooden borders closest to the eves has come off, hence leaving a nice gap for a possum to get in

My loungeroom is soooo small (my least fav room) ... Also i want a separate dunny (hate em in the bathroom) & i would LOVE a double kitchen sink, & more bench space in the kitchen (or maybe just a dishwasher to hide dirty dishes in will do, LOL)

I also hate....

- My kitchen!! It has a BLUE TILE bench which is a nightmare to clean. THere are also no drawers in the kitchen!

- My house is ALL wood. From, floor, ceiling and even walls. It reflects everything as orange. I just need some plaster and COLOUR somewhere.

- I have a room next to the kitchen which is simply unuseable and a complete waste of space! It's too small for a table so it just gets everything shoved in it. We're renovating the kitchen soon and pushing it back into that room. YAY for more useable space!

Another really irritating thing about our house is that there is no door on our ensuite. We can't leave our bedroom door open when we have guests (helps us to keep it clean if we have someone able to look in there) if one of us is going to the toilet.

We have tiles through the whole house, even the bedrooms. PITA to have to sweep every day. Would just prefer the dust to settle into some carpet and vacume once a week.

I hate my house. Its too freakin small. Like, its TINY. We are overflowing at the seams and will be even worse when the 3rd bub comes along.

I hate the fact that its old, so there are millions of cobwebs that appear on the walls overnight.

I hate the fact that it is so old there is NO storage, no linen cupboard, no pantry - nothing.

I hate that the backyard really isn't suitable for toddlers. Too many places to fall off from biggish heights.

But I do like my hardwood timber floors

Our walls The previous owners thought it would be awesome to paint the open-plan living area walls blue and purple and then to match them with blue, purple and silver striped curtains. I feel like I am walking into a nightmare circus tent every morning. In the lounge they thought a mustard feature wall would also be pretty - to go with some red and gold striped curtains. It is all just horrible and it makes our home so dark and makes everything look so small.

It has taken us a year to save up for a house-wide professional paint job and it starts on Thursday! I. CAN'T. WAIT! We are going latte tones with off-white accents. Next project is the candy-striped curtain replacement.

Other than the indoor rainbow nightmare, we love our home

I hate my kitchen. It has no useful bench space and it gets so cluttered so quickly it drives me nuts!
There are no build in cupboards in the bedrooms.
The clothesline doesn't wind up or down cos it's old and broken.
The house badly needs restumping and several doors don't shut properly. There are massive gaps that let in all the cold on all the doors and windows.
I'm sure there are other things! One day I will have my perfect dream house!

No kitchen, laundry or proper bathroom. Pip sleeps in our office (least its better than our walk-in wardrobe).

No storage in our house so everything is stacked.

The area where I do cook / wash is downstairs through an uninsulated room and a garage. I have a sink & oven but no benches or hotplates.

And no clothesline, so I hang my clothes out on airers on the roof of the house.

I hate that not one room in the house is finished. Skirting boards aren't attached, doors don't have handles or locks and everything is temporary. I have coathangers as latches in sliding doors that don't have architraves and the wind rushes through. I hate that there's a blue tarp in front of my bedroom window because the doors aren't sealed.

I actually hate my house.

I hate that my block is quiet large for residential, but 80% of the land is un-useable.

Stupid positioning of the house makes the 1000sq out the back no accessible except thru the laundry, but the back yard of steep slopping so difficult for the kids to play in unsupervised. It also means that about 700sq of the front is just "bush" gardens, but slopping again.. plus we are infested with spiders outside.. yuk!!!

The kids only have about 100sq of nice grass to play on.. seems such a waste!!!!!!

Dp LOVES to find and keep useless crap. So our house is overwhelmed with "stuff". And he refuses to get rid of it.

Plus renovations!!!! We moved into our house last November, and we just finally been able to put things where we want them, and finish unpacking. With the rooms getting painted, and then all the floors getting new carpet and lino, everything had to stay in boxes. Sooooooo annoying.

And my biggest thing.....We have no bath, just a shower with a small tub sort of bath thing at the bottom. I would give my right BB for a bath at the moment!

We thought it would be nice to build a sand-pit for our boys. Biiig mistake!! It's worse than living in a beach house. And to top it off they have created a second 'sand pit' in the car-port so they can play in the sand when it is rainy or sunny. Every time I sweep it they transport a fresh load of sand.
And the toilet is a bad design - the S in the S bend is too far forward so every time the boys do poo they leave giant skid marks!
And the car-port and garage is designed for 4 cars (it's a 2 bedroom house - go figure) all in a row. If I want my car DH has to reverse his out.

Your not in Yarra Glen are you! The house I built 7 years ago had a silly huge garage (4 cars plus workbench, not my idea) compared to the size of the house.
Oh but wait at least it was square, yours sounds rectangle, thats annoying.

The Lounge and study have big floor to ceiling west facing windows. It is NEVER cold enough in the tropics to have those blinds open, especially in the afternoon, so we keep them shut all the time and use the family room instead because it stays cooler, and of course these rooms become junk magnets.

We dont have as much junk now as we used to, and it is getting even better, DH has taken everything out of the study and started sorting through it, so now the lounge is a mess, but there is a lot going in the bin.

The washing line is not height adjustable and is down the side of the house, so I cant hang the washing and let the kids play with their equiptment at the same time, because I can't see them.

OHHH and the thing that irks me the most is that our neighbours have their dogs on the opposite side of their house from their bedrooms - Right next to our bedroom windows. And they YAP constantly!! Their yard is wider on the other side too, so they have the dogs in the narrowest part and ignore them when they bark. Truly a PITA.

We're on a busy-ish road and the road noise bugs me.
Our toilets are reeeeeeeeeeeally loud when you flush them... being pregnant it sucks when I am going to the bathroom 2 times a night and knowing the loud flush in our ensuite could wake poor DH who has to be up at 4am.
No dishwasher in a huge, modern kitchen.
The oven is too small... I can't fit my favourite cookie tray in it
No fence in the front yard... a fence would make me stress a little less about DS2 going out the front (which he isn't allowed to do)

Other than that, I love my house
