Well the new quote is in.....

The quote is just for the labour part...we have to suppy the fittings etc

$5700!!! Which I think is great and I really liked this builder/plumber - he seems more professional and aligned to what I want.

So thats $3000 less than the other "all inclusive"

I "wagged" school today....cough cough...don't I sound sick to you and went to a bathroom place and tile place and figured about $2k max so far for
    - bath/shower
    - toilet
    - vanity (and the vanity was exy - can save $ here)
    - taps
    - wall and floor tiles

    Still need
    - shower screen
    - new window

So will be fairly close in $$ terms but I really like this second guy...fingers crossed hubby thinks the same!

Thanks for all the advice...keep it coming...i can't wait to post my new bathroom pics in the gallery!

    Yay That's so exciting!!
You'll love it when it's finished. But take before & after photos, it's good to look back at how yucky it was!!
Mbear I love cleaning my bathrooms too!! It's so easy when it's new & sparkling to keep it like that, I hate seeing it looking less than it's best

My bathroom was $8K - but its only small. Got excellent references and a licienced professional - we are EXTREMELY happy with the quality of work. Waterproofing etc all done well - I LOVE my new bathroom!
