Does it have white bars or something you could wind white material around? A white bedskirt sort of thing to hide legs, a slipcover, maybe a white mosquito net.....

Not really Nelle, but the white bedskirt is a really good idea. Maybe also I could put a couple of white decoration pillows on it to tie it in a bit more? Thought I dont know how long the pillows would stay white for lol

As nice as the bed is.......it will probably look very out of place with everything else being white I had the same problem with V's bedroom...everything white and a beautiful timber bed and it looked crap!

Sorry but I just wouldnt do it cause it would eat at me so badly and id have to paint the bed

Just to throw another opinion into the mix, I have seen it done and it works well. I have seen dining settings and buffets that are both white and timber finish as well as bedroom furniture. that bunk set that we are looking at is white and timber too. It would only not work if you had several timiber finished items and they didn't match, but having all white and then the jarrah bed would work well I think. If you dressed it with white accessories them it would tie it all together.

Thanks Trill, maybe I should give it a go, nothing to lose. I know the half/half furniture you mean, its like french provincial style. Gorgeous furniture, would love to furnish our house in that style but dont have the dosh! Thanks girls for all your helpful advice!

I love that look but the look is more the furniture and not the trimmings...like the beds that all white and the top piece of timber is stained insteadof painted.
V has a little storage thing (from target) that is all white and has cane baskets...looks spiffy
