I dont know much about carpet We got our carpet (4 years ago now mind you) we just went to Harvey Norman to check out the range. After much contemplation we went for a cheap carpet but the underlay we got was very thick, so while our carpet is short (which made it easy to clean up DS tt accidents) it's actually very springy. That's my advice, get a nice thick underlay
