    10 Home births

My MIL has given birth 10 times and all home births. DH rang her last night and somehow we got talking about births and she was telling me her story. Absolutely amazing, I just feel so proud for her.

That's so cool. Mind you, 10 kids must have been hard work.

My MIL had 1 HB, her first. DH (her 2nd) was born in hospital because he was overcooked apparently. That was the UK where HB is more common.

I think another special part of it all is that back then it was natural/normal to birth at home and then to stay home unless there are complications off course. They were all delivered by her GP too.

That is great and inspiring to read. I so wish it was still the norm these days to birth at home. Maybe one day we can get back there again.

My Nan also had home births except for her last one (really premmie twins). She even had her 1st at home and they were twins. She only had a midwife.

Well done to your MIL though. What a great effort
