Hi guys!! I was hoping to fing a good book explaining homebirth/waterbirth to my 6yo, 3yo, and 20 mo. One that gave realistic details and explanations preferable to cartoons? All the bookshops have is pictures with mum flat on her back in hospital with a doctor there at the receiving end Any suggestions??
My Brother Jimi Jazz by Chrissy Butler
In this book Chrissy writes from the perspective of a young girl about the beautiful home birth of her brother Jimi Jazz. This book also features breastfeeding, family bed, cloth diapers ( nappies!), and siblings shown at birth.
Hello Baby by Jenni Overend
Beautifully-illustrated story set in Oz; a mother gives birth at home, with her whole family around her. Kids like it and mums generally cry!
Hello Baby is brilliant! The mum is awesome- she goes out for a walk by herself in early labour then walks around in labour at home and gives birth upright The story is from a childs perspective.
