Homebirth General Discussion #13
Big ugly cries today - check.
I don't want to face all the family while still pregnant today, but it's DS' birthday party and what sort of a mother is selfish enough to not go to that.
I just want to hide in a dark corner alone. I'm tired of trying any more.
So sorry for the selfish posts lately ladies.
I hope Friday comes quickly with reassuring news for you Em.

Ree! Gorgeous Mumma. You're doing so well. You're almost there and we are with you all the way xx
Re: Homebirth General Discussion #13
Understandable how you're feeling ree*ree, actually sounds like your body is really starting to amp up and prepare for labour. Hopefully this means you are going to have an easy going labour/delivery.

Ree- hope something is happening for you.
Well I'm now ok to birth at home. Officially 37 weeks!! And I know some of you are due and waiting to have bubs before me but I'm really at the stage where baby can get out!! And yes I realise it could be another 4-5 weeks. I'm so tired and emotional, I just want hubby home for the next few weeks (he is taking 3 weeks off when baby comes and I'm really looking forward to it). I have morning/all day sickness back and can't eat because my stomach has no room to store any food and heart burn is so bad.
My sister is also very much over her pg seeing as her due date is today but no signs of labour at all yet. She would go mental if I popped first but quite frankly right about now I don't care.
Gee pg is fun lol

Hi ladies - I went into labour naturally late Sunday night, yay! So pleased with myself!
But bubs head was still very high and not in a good position, and I wasn't dilating past 6cm even though I looked and sounded a lot further along. The decision was made to transfer and I am happy with that - we tried everything! All the different positions the midwives could think of, rebozo sifting for ages, in and out the pool etc.
The staff at King Edward were fabulous, and I had the best Ob. Apparently I was being prepped to go for a C-sect (my worst fear) but I was trying all positions to push this big guy out and thankfully the Dr decided to give forceps a go first. 2 giant pushes later and bubby slid out!
1.2l blood loss for me so staying in hossy for a little bit. I'm happy with how everything went, even though we didn't get our home birth.
Seth Daniel arrived at 2:40pm on the 18th - sharing his big brother's birthday! 9p2oz and 53cm long :heartbeat:
