Yay go Rory! So exciting, all these babies arriving........who's the next one on the home stretch?
Hope all's going well RoryR!
happy birthing Rory!
As I posted in the other thread I think it was a false alarm, thankfully. There are so many "rules" with this HB program I am starting to think I need an IM....
Oh- what happened with todays meeting to make you feel that way Rory? I was a little concerned if you were leaking that they would put you on the clock and you may miss out on your HB through a hospital program given how strict the rules are. It's not too late to consider an IM if you want to...
Hope you're okay![]()
wow, so what are these rules? Maybe something I have to ask my middies about.
The backup one said most transfers are due to prolonged labour... maybe due to rules...?
Girls I just posted this - I reckon it happened to me : resealed leak
Today's meeting was cancelled - apparently there are lots of women due right now. But I asked about PROM and was told if labour doesn't start within 24 hours I would have to birth in hospital. Plus "my" midwife is on annual leave for ALL of September (I am due on 6/10) which I think is pretty poor form (especially when she knows my 2nd was 6 days early).
I am just starting to think that the hospital program is like the worst of both worlds....
I think a resealed leak sounds very possible. So long as everyone keeps their hands out of you I'm sure its no problem either
Do you want to ring around some IMs and get a feel for the possibilities? At least it would be cheaper by this stage in the game as you don't need as many antenatal appointments! If you want any recs then let us know. I found the MIPPS website a good place to start.
That's frustrating!
I might finally meet my primary midwife in a couple of weeks (got transferred to a new one).
24 hours isn't very long. The extra rules for hospital-based homebirth programs are really frustrating!
