I think you just pointed out one of the possible downsides of inductions right there, TTC2!
Yeah I think so!!! I am assuming this time I'll go naturally, not induced. I'll cry if they tell me they need to induce me again!!

Maybe rather than cry - fight for the birth you want. Do the research, make the decisions with your DH and go into it with a plan!

You WILL be great. It WILL be different.

Inducement MUST be harder.... The body isnt ready thats why you need the intervention!

I know you have a great bunch of girls in your Belly buddies thread Get their support behind you!

I think it depends on how you handle it really. I have had four very different birth experiences. The first being induced and the second augmented. They were my hardest (and most complicated) compared to the 2 natural ones. However #3's natural labour hurt a lot more than the induced ones because the labour went really quick (2 hours) and i never got time to focus. They were pretty much on top of each other from the beginning. My recent one was just under 5 hours and my contractions never went less than 7 minutes apart until transition so it was really quite easy. I had long rests between them so they didnt feel as bad and i was able to concentrate on them a lot easier than with #3.

So yes induced labours are usually harder than natural. But natural can be hard too. Concentrate on your breathing (i recommend a calm birth course) and focus on your body and baby and you will do fine.
