When he is able to eat the same meals as you, you needn't worry about how much salt he takes as long as your food doesn't contain excessive salt. Enjoy your spaghetti bolognese with your son and have no regrets about it

Tonight was spag bol night. DS loved it! Hands first, then the mince on a spoon which I loaded and he transfered to his mouth as quickly as he could. Very messy, but loads of fun for us all.

People are supposed to consume salt. There is a difference between SODIUM and TABLE SALT. Both are necessary.

Provided you aren't adding excessive salt to your meals, and aren't offering him highly processed foods, he can eat anything you do.

There is NO NEED at all to remove all the salt from his diet, in fact, it will do more harm.

I never really worried about the salt thing and I do BLS too. I don't add extra salt and we generally use salt reduced things like stock powder etc etc anyway.
