Jen, you have been so inspirational for me (and many others!) since I've been BF'ing and you certainly have helped me lean towards looking at letting my DD now self-wean herself when she's ready one day!

Good on you for giving your daughter the VERY BEST start in life.... not just nutritionally but with the right comfort when she's needed it, security, hugs etc.....

Well done to you and your daughter.... if this is it.... how sad for you yet such a happy time at the same time!!!!

My hat goes off to you!

Woohoo, and boohoo!!!! Congratulations Jen, even if she doesn't wean just yet, you have done an amazing job for her. I just hope DS and I can make it that far! We are 19mths and going strong, and counting

Another missed bf this morning too. I sort of convinced her to come into bed for a quick snuggle and bf after breakfast, but it didn't last long and I just thought I'd like to 'remember' the last bf properly.

So I'd say this is it. I won't bother offering for my own sake and I'll enjoy the cuddles I can now have with DP in the morning instead. My baby girl is all grown up!

Thanks girls, I think I can be happy moving on now.

Oh Jen amazing job. Hope you don't feel too sad about it. That's so awesome she has stopped when she is ready.

It sounds like your DD has made her decision. What a fantastic almost 4 years for you and your DD. She really is a big girl now. Hope you're okay with it .

Well, I was right, she's done it.

The last few mornings have been DD coming in and demanding that I get up and get her breakfast NOW because she's so hungry!

There go my lazy lying-in-bed mornings, snuggling DD to me and feeling her fall back to sleep with all the comfort that only bb could provide.

Oh well, just think, I got to do it for nearly four years - I can hardly compain, can I? I think I should make DP get up for this bit, considering how easy he's gotten off so far.
