Day Weaning before Night Weaning

I wish I had some advise as to how but this is the way DD self weaned. By about your DD's age she had no feeds in the day and only the bed one and the early morning one.

My DS on the other hand is exactly like your little miss and has gone back to asking all the time. I'm all for not refusing if he asks, but man i need some space back. I try to distract DS with an activity or outing, but we only have one car so that's not always an option and often he bypasses the distraction completely after 2milliseconds and cames back with his original request.

I went back to work when my ds was 10 months old. And so he pretty much "day weaned" then (at least on weekdays).
However, he also stopped sleeping through, and at once stage was up to 5 feeds a night - so beware!

I've day weaned cause I am working full time and it works. I haven't had the issue of snacking but I have seen one mum give her toddler a number of 'milk cards' that the toddler could trade in for a bf during the day. So if the mum only wanted to give 5 feeds then the toddler got 5 cards. He would go up to mum with a card and say 'milk please' trade in a card and have a feed. Then he would only have 4 left for the rest of the day.

To me it seemed like a great idea but I haven't had to use it.

I'm not toooooo worried about night waking since we are already up at least 3 times as is but thanks for the warning, hopefully it doesn't get worse ekk!!

Our day feeds are only in the morning before getting out of bed, after his afternoon nap and just before bed unless he is sick then he asks for it more. This mainly evolved because at 11 mnths I went to a sleep school and we changed feeding from demand to after breakfast, lunch and tea and I went back to work about the same time for 3 days a week for 4 months.
What I would suggest is distraction, I notice if we are out and about for the day he tends not to ask for his after nap feed, can you delay the feed? so if she asks you tell her later and distract her with a walk or something? I am very much an instinct person and with DS try and distract and if he really wanted it I could tell hope that makes sense and goodluck.
