Question Demand feeding at 11 months

DS is almost 11 months & is having 3 feeds a day (morning, 2-ish, bedtime). We got to this point by cutting down feeds during the day as he seemed less interested in them (very distracted, feeding for less time, not finishing the boobs off etc).

Anyway, this morning I was drying us off after a shower & he suddenly latched on - which he has never done before (although he is much more mobile now that he is crawling & cruising!). It made me wonder, for those of you who demand feed, how do your bubs let you know what they want?

Lol Ds will always just latch on when we have had a shower!

I must say i dont like how he lets me know but at least i know. He just pulls at my shirt or puts his hand down my top We have demand fed from the begining, but i dont offer anymore i just let him decide when he wants it. Hope this makes sense? Good luck xx

Olivia demand feeds.. she has quite a few in the morning then a nap.. After that she seems to just pop on for a few drinks.. big feeds are 3-4 times a day but many others are short and seem to be just for a drink

Boomba - My friend's 5 y.o. still does that to her! (he's not feeding anymore, but just seems to like the comfort of her boobs!)

Nic - What does she do to demand?

My DS (8 months) has a hungry yell that sounds like a very odd chicken. He also starts latching on to whatever is nearby (my elbow, DH's chest, his teddy)...

He he, every time I have a shower with DD I expect her to latch on but she never has! She has just recently started to let me know she wants a feed by pulling my top out and trying to stick her head down there!!

Nic - Olivia and Euan seem to have very similar feeding patterns - Euan went down for a morning nap at 10:45 and had three feeds before his nap. He will still have up to eight or more feeds a day, but only 3 or 4 of them are full feeds. Boy does this one love his boob LOL. He doesn't ask for solid food (although he's mostly happy to eat it), but he usually lets me know that he wants boob (apart from escalating stroppyness) by trying to climb up my leg and looking up at me with big puppy dog eyes, and as soon as I lift my top he gets all excited and pants (if he had a tail it would be wagging at this point ).

Or he will just come up and latch on, regardless of whether there's a top in the way or not. Because of the heat I'll often go around topless at home, so he's got a permanently available snack bar LOL.

Ezz, my ds is nearly 16 months, but still demand fed. He lets me know by grabbing my hand & pushing it up to my bra strap, and by throwing himself back into his "feeding" position. He's been doing this for a few months now, and it's unmistakable and impossible to ignore.
