He will - but when that happens is kind of a "how long is a piece of string" question
A fairly good proportion of toddlers will self wean between 2 and 3. But there are those who will continue to feed into their fourth year and longer. The average age for weaning world wide is four years.
I too am waiting (not so patiently anymore I'm afraid) for my 2.5 year old to self wean. I don't hold much hope that he will do it anytime soon, so I'm now at the point of having to decide whether I'm going to wean him myself or just let him go. I really don't know. I have no reason to wean, I love feeding him for the most part and he has finally stopped waking at night which means I'm getting more sleep than I have since I was pregnant with him....but some days I am definitely over it. I don't know...I guess we're in the same boat. Sorry for the ramble![]()
